A truck accident has caused a BendBroadband service outage for customers in Redmond, Sisters, Terrebonne, Black Butte and Prineville, according to BendBroadband, and prompted four Central Oregon DMV offices to close at noon.

A semitrailer hit a power line at Nels Anderson Road and Empire Avenue in Bend this morning, according to a notice on the company’s website. Some phone service in Bend is also down.

The loss of power and Internet prompted the state to close DMV offices in Bend, Madras, Prineville and Redmond, according to a news release. The agency hopes to reopen them Tuesday morning.
