Janet King, manager of the Prineville Bi-Mart store, retired Friday after nearly 40 years with the company. King has spent the last five years at the Prineville location, but previously worked at Bi-Mart stores in Corvallis, Bend, Redmond, Sisters and La Pine. She left just before her 40th anniversary, which would have occurred in October.

In her retirement, King said she hopes to spend time hiking and biking while she’s still in good health, and spend time with her 18-month-old granddaughter.

“I’ve given a lot of time to this company,” King said. “I love this company, but it’s time for a change.”

Bi-Mart is headquartered in Eugene and has 75 stores across the Pacific Northwest, according to the company’s website.
