Col. Rene Athol Angus

Feb. 20, 1924 – July 17, 2015

Arrangements took place at Redmond Memorial Chapel in Redmond. No services were held except for a close family gathering at graveside.

Rene was born to Athol and Antonio Paz Angus in New Orleans, LA. He was raised in both Honduras and in New Orleans. He attended Tulane University where he graduated with a degree in Accounting. Rene served two separate tours of duty in the US Army, retiring as a full Colonel in 1953. He was very proud of his service to his country.

Rene married Elayne Miller in Long Beach, CA, in 1966. They moved to Redmond in 1984 to be close to family.

Elayne preceded Rene in death in 2009. Rene is survived by his step-daughter, Jan Anderson, and her husband, Jim Pierce of Redmond. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Erika Wagner, her husband, Todd and children, Serena and Gavin of Jackson, CA, and a grandson, Michael Anderson of Henderson, NV.
