Marvin Edward King was born in Clarksburg, California on April 15, 1919, and passed away in Bend, Oregon, on September 23, 2015, at the age of 96. His parents were Arthur King and Mary Emily Annen King. He married Marilyn Eason Morgan on June 7, 1953. He is survived by his wife, his children, Kristen Garland and Julie Deocampo, both of Redmond Oregon, daughters, Jacquelyn Fitch of Napa California, and Linda Cooper of Sausilito, California; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

Marvin studied aeronautical engineering at Sacramento State and later studied contracting, and then was a concrete contractor in California until retirement. Marvin and his wife retired for 21 years in Oregon, living happily in the country near Oakland, Oregon, enjoying living adjacent to the Umpqua River. They later moved to Redmond, and then to Bend. Throughout his adult life, Marvin was a devout Christian.

A memorial will be held in the Redmond Seventh-Day Adventist church at 4 PM on October 17. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Hospice House of Bend, Oregon, 2075 NE Wyatt Ct. in Bend.
