Vacasa, a vacation rental management company in Portland, has purchased Carefree Vacation Rentals, which handled vacation rentals around Eagle Crest.

The Portland company announced the acquisition Nov. 19 and will be transferring ownership of Carefree’s listings over the next month, according to a news release from Vacasa. However, the 11 properties Carefree managed in the resort community west of Redmond are now listed on Vacasa’s website, along with nearly 200 other vacation rentals in Central Oregon.

Since its founding in 2009, Vacasa has grown to manage more than 2,700 properties in the U.S., Europe and Central and South America, according to its website.
