Sex trafficking — Two men will spend up to six years and eight months in prison for trafficking a woman and an underage girl for sex. Marion County Deputy District Attorney Tiffany Underwood says detectives found the girl through online advertisements she posted, later locating the second victim. Dennell Lawrence Smith II and Marvellus Anthony Lucas Jr. pleaded guilty and were sentenced for compelling and promoting prostitution. Smith had also pleaded guilty in 2014 to promoting prostitution in Jackson County.

Portland rainfall — Portland International Airport is experiencing its wettest winter on record at more than 25 inches and counting. Data from the National Weather Service counts winter rain from Dec. 11 through February. Normal rainfall at the airport during that period is a little more than 14 inches.
