The city of Bend issued a building permit for a medical facility valued at $900,000 at the corner of NW Pence Lane and Shevlin Park Road on Bend’s west side.

Architectural plans filed with the city call for two medical offices and one surgical suite at 1835 NW Pence Lane. Scott Morgan, the property’s owner, declined to say what type of facility he’s planning because the details are not yet confirmed. He said it will be a nearly 10,000-square-foot medical complex with an anticipated opening date in fall 2016. He said he plans to host an official announcement event May 4 at Broken Top Bottle Shop, a restaurant near the property.

Morgan was the lead spokesperson for Truth in Site, a group that formed to oppose the new Oregon State University-Cascades campus on Bend’s west side. He has been involved with other medical ventures in the past.
