A $1 million playground at Sam Johnson Park in Redmond needs a merry-go-round.

Although the playground essential was part of the original design, the accessible carousel did not fit in the budget.

The Redmond Kiwanis Foundation and the City of Redmond hope to drum up an additional $55,000 for the whirling fixture.

For a minimum contribution of $100, contributions will be honored with a personalized paver brick in the playground. For $5,000, businesses and individuals will be commemorated by a double-sized brick.
