Imogene Clara Easley of Bend, Oregon, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2016, at Hospice House of Bend. She was 95.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at Deschutes Memorial Chapel and Gardens, located at 63875 N Hwy 97, Bend, OR 97701.
Imogene was born December 10, 1920, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to Arthur James and Clara Ruth (Johnson) Richards.
She worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. until moving to Hollywood, CA, in 1942 to go to work for the Bank of America. In 1944, Imogene went to work for Douglas Aircraft Company in Santa Monica, CA, until retiring to Bend in 1967. In Bend, she worked for an investment company and in real estate. She also worked for Hatfields Department store until it closed. She married James Easley in 1987.
She is survived by her brother, James Richards of Chico, CA; nephews, Chuck (wife, Julie) Richards of Ojai, CA, and Jim (wife, Julie) Richards of Chico, CA; a step-son, James (wife, Sandra) Easley; step-granddaughter, Amy and two step great-great-grandchildren. Other survivors include two great-nephews and one great-great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by both parents and husbands, James Easley, Jack Reed and W.D. Batchelor.
