Cycling
MBSEF cycling sessions resume June 20 — Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation summer mountain biking sessions are open to children 6 to 14. Each session runs for two weeks: Session III will be held from June 20 to 30, session IV from July 5 to 14, session V from July 25 to Aug. 4 and session VI from August 15-25. The group will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. each day. Kids can ride two days a week for $80, three days a week for $110 or four days a week for $130. Rugby
Bend Blues end season — The Bend Blues lost to the Beaverton Barbarians, 34-19, in the Rugby Oregon playoffs Saturday in Portland. Paxton Parazoo, Noah Michelson and Gavin Loftis each scored a try for the Blues, while Lane Crismon hit two conversion kicks. The Blues (4-4-1) end the season in fourth place in the Club Championship Division.
Soccer
BURSL registration closes June 5 — Registration for the Bend Unified Recreational Soccer League, which is a joint project of the Bend Park & Recreation District and Bend FC Timbers, is available at www.bendparksandrec.org until June 5. The league runs from Aug. 22 through Oct. 29 and is open to boys and girls who will be in first through eighth grade during the fall season. Softball
Evaluation clinic to be held June 20 — The Fastpitch Northwest Prospect Evaluation Camp will be held at Sisters High School on June 20 beginning at 9 a.m. The clinic is open to high school softball players who will graduate between 2017 and 2021 and are interested in playing softball in college. Participants will have their arm speed, bat speed, foot speed, hitting, fielding and baserunning evaluated. The top performers will be invited to Fastpitch Northwest’s College Exposure Championship, which will be held in Centralia, Washington, in July. The clinic costs $135. Ultimate
Summer league registration open — Registration for the Bend Ultimate Summer League is available at www.bendultimate.com until June 15. Teams will be drafted June 16, and games will be held on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. starting June 21. The league is open to anyone 15 and older, including players with no previous experience. League registration costs $40 and includes a team jersey. To prepare for the upcoming season, Bend Ultimate is hosting a women’s clinic at Ponderosa Park at 6:30 p.m. June 7. The clinic is free and will include instruction for beginners as well as intermediate and advanced players. A coed clinic will follow on June 14, and will also be held at Ponderosa Park at 6:30 p.m.
Volleyball
Summit to host summer camp — Summit volleyball coaches and varsity athletes will lead the Summit Storm Volleyball camp at the high school gym on June 27 to 30. The clinic is open to girls entering third through ninth grades and runs from 1 to 4 p.m. each day (ninth graders will stay for extra practice until 5 p.m.) The cost is $80, $100 for rising ninth graders.
