‘POPSTAR: NEVER STOP NEVER STOPPING’

Rating: R for some graphic nudity, language throughout, sexual content and drug use.

What it’s about: A faux documentary about rambunctious and raunchy pop star Connor4Real’s rise and fall.

The kid-attractor factor: The star-studded cast, humor and goofy joke pop-rap tunes will be a draw for kids and teens.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Never forget where you come from and who your true friends are. An apology goes a long way.

Violence: A few smacks, stumbles and pratfalls.

Language: A lot of swearing. Most of the song titles can’t be printed in the newspaper.

Sexuality: While there isn’t a lot of sex on screen, there are graphic references/descriptions in the song lyrics, and plenty of cringe-worthy nudity — male, female, full-frontal, etc.

Drugs: On-screen marijuana use, references to crack in song lyrics

Parents advisory: The language, rude humor and graphic nudity make this a no-no for kids and tweens, but it’s fine for older teens.

‘ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS’

Rating: PG for fantasy action/peril and some language.

What it’s about: Alice returns to Wonderland and must harness a time travel machine to save the Hatter family.

The kid-attractor factor: Lewis Carroll’s fantastical, nonsensical classic literature source material, the creative and colorful character design and familiarity with Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland,” the preceding film.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Nothing is impossible; you can’t change the past but you can learn from it; everything worth doing is worth doing for others.

Violence: There are many action scenes. There’s a scene of the Hatter family attacked by the Jabberwocky and kidnapped to the Red Queen’s Castle.

Language: Written in the arch English style of Lewis Carroll, and taking place in an innocent world, there’s no graphic swearing, but some strong, threatening language from Time and other villains.

Sexuality: A reference to a marriage proposal.

Drugs: None.

Parents advisory: This has a bit too much action for young kids and toddlers, who most likely will find it too scary. But it’s appropriate for kids of other ages who can handle the thrills.
