‘FINDING DORY’

Rating: PG for mild thematic elements.

Most Popular

What it’s about: Everyone’s favorite forgetful blue tang from “Finding Nemo” is back with her own movie, where she tries to find her long lost family.

The kid-attractor factor: It’s a Disney movie, so of course kids and parents will be flocking to the theater for the spectacular animation, adventure story, humor and the return of favorite characters from “Finding Nemo.”

Good lessons/bad lessons: Nothing’s impossible, and there’s always another way to get something done. Never apologize for being different. Your friends are your family, too.

Violence: There’s some action and adventure, but no real violence.

Language: None

Sexuality: None

Drugs: None

Parents advisory: Perfect for kids young and old.

‘WARCRAFT’

Rating: PG-13 for extended sequences of intense fantasy violence.

What it’s about: Based on the video game, this fantasy movie follows the war between humans and orcs to seize control of the world.

The kid-attractor factor: The sci-fi/fantasy genre and eye-popping 3D effects should be a draw for teenage boys.

Good lessons/bad lessons: It’s better to seek peace than make war; conservation and coexistence are the keys to prosperity.

Violence: A lot of intense battles, fights and destruction of humans and orcs with swords, axes and magic.

Language: None

Sexuality: Some close and flirtatious moments but nothing explicit.

Drugs: None

Parents advisory: There’s a lot of action and violence, but it’s fine for teenagers, and possibly older kids, depending on their interest.
