- Fishing South Twin Lake
South Twin Lake might be one of the better lakes for shore fishing in Central Oregon. A 120-acre lake located adjacent to Wickiup Reservoir, South Twin offers typically calm winds and a beach day-use area from which anglers can cast. The lake is consistently stocked with fingerlings and legal-size rainbow trout.
Getting there: From Sunriver, travel southwest on forest roads 42 and 43. Turn left onto Forest Road 4260 and follow signs to South Twin Lake (about 44 miles from Bend).
Main catch: Stocked rainbow trout
