Immunization/Flu
Immunization against influenza and pneumonia is important. Too many die annually of these preventable diseases. Those over age 65 or at-risk should receive the flu vaccine annually before early November. Adults 65 and over or at-risk should also receive a once-in-a-lifetime immunization against pneumonia. There are some limited circumstances when people should be re-vaccinated for pneumonia. Talk with your health care provider. Influenza and pneumonia vaccines are reimbursed under Medicare.
Flu shot clinics are generally available in late September-October. Call your health care provider, watch your local newspaper for dates, times and places of seasonal clinics or call the:

Since hearing loss may be related to a number of causes, begin with a visit to a licensed physician or a specialist in diseases of the ear for a thorough examination. An audiometric examination will be an important part of the procedure. In-depth audiological testing to evaluate the nature and degree of hearing loss is reimbursable by Medicare at 80% of the approved charges after the deductible has been met.
Medicare does not cover hearing aids or routine hearing examinations directly related to the prescribing, fitting, or changing of hearing aids.
Medicare covers diagnostic hearing evaluations if referred by a Medicare-certified physician.
