Season passes for Mt. Bachelor will increase $40 for adults in the 2016-17 season, the ski area announced Wednesday.
A discounted adult season pass will cost $929 for the upcoming season when purchased before Oct. 1, up from $889 last season. It will cost $1,129 beginning Oct. 1, up from $1,089 in the 2015-16 season.
Season passes for young adults, those between the ages of 19 and 26, will cost $459 when purchased before Oct. 1, up from $419 last year. Young-adult passes purchased in October or later will cost $539.
Separate midweek passes will rise by $20, and will cost $629 before Oct. 1, and $759 after. A full list of season pass options can be found at www.mtbachelor.com/tickets-passes/season-pass/.
Pass sales begin Thursday.
In an email to season passholders, John McLeod, Mt. Bachelor president and general manager, attributed the price increases to higher operational costs caused by the installation of the ski area’s new Cloudchaser lift, as well as increases to Oregon’s minimum wage, which began July 1.
