BlueBird Strategies, a digital marketing agency headquartered in Bend, announced Thursday that it has been acquired by Square 2 Marketing, a Pennsylvania company.

Cari Baldwin, the founder of BlueBird Strategies, said discussions began in earnest in late spring, but added that the two companies have been talking for around a year. She would not disclose the sale price.

Baldwin said BlueBird will retain its office in Bend and its name, and will act as Square 2 Marketing’s hub for West Coast operations. Baldwin added that the acquisition could give the company a chance to grow and add employees in the future. She said the company currently employs 12 people, six of whom work in Bend.
