One person escaped unharmed after an RV repair shop caught fire in La Pine Sunday morning, according to the La Pine Rural Fire Protection District.

Crews responded to the structure fire at 52573 Skidgel Road shortly before 5:30 a.m. There they found a metal shop building that was fully involved.

The shop contained an RV repair businesses. One person who was staying in an RV in the shop awoke amid heavy smoke and escaped.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Sunriver Fire provided additional support.
