Monthly home price climbs in Bend

The median home price in Bend in September climbed by $26,000, or 7.2 percent, after falling three months in a row, according to a report released Saturday.

Redmond in September recorded a $13,000 decrease in the median sales price, still 14 percent higher than a year ago, according to The Beacon Report.

In Bend, the median price for a single-family home rose to $385,000 last month, 10.6 percent higher than in September 2015, according to the report from the Beacon Appraisal Group in Redmond. The group reported the most recent median high price in Bend, $374,000, in May.

Bend had 229 single-family home sales last month, 30 fewer than in August and five more than in September 2015.

In Redmond, the median price for a single-family home reached $260,000 in September, 8 percent lower than in August.
