Oregon State, coming off its first Final Four run in program history, has been picked to finish fifth in the Pac-12 women’s basketball standings in the 2016-17 season.

The coaches poll was released Thursday at the league’s media day.

The Beavers, defending regular-season and Pac-12 tournament champions, lost three starters from last year’s team and return senior starters Syndey Weise, a three-time all-Pac-12 selection, and Gabriella Hanson.

UCLA, which reached the Sweet 16 last season, was picked to finish first. The Bruins feature a strong group of juniors who part of the nation’s top recruiting class two years ago. UCLA last won the Pac-12 tournament in 2006 and last won the regular-season title in 1999.

Oregon was picked to finish seventh.
