Promoter Parallel 44 Presents hosts its annual Countdown to the New Year from Monday through New Year’s Eve, with a different local or regional act set to take the stage each night. The countdown kicks off Monday with roots rockers Wayward Soul, the last band standing from 2015’s Make-A-Band event. Portland trio and Bend Roots Revival favorite Butterfly Breakdown performs Tuesday night; garage trio Beatles tribute JuJu Eyeball plays Wednesday; Broken Down Guitars brings the jams Dec. 29; and Shady GroOove gets funky Dec. 30. Finally, World’s Finest and Elektrapod close out the countdown with a New Year’s Eve bash.
