Grocery Outlet to open in La Pine
Grocery Outlet Bargain Market plans a grand opening for its new store in La Pine at 10 a.m. Thursday.

The new store, at 51420 U.S. Highway 97, Suite 200, is independently owned and operated by Brett Turner along with his wife, Gina Turner, according to a Grocery Outlet news release. Brett Turner, a native of California, is an Army veteran and a former Safeway store manager in the Bay Area, according to the release.
Grocery Outlet, based in Emeryville, California, operates more than 250 locations around the U.S. It advertises savings for its customers of 40 percent to 70 percent compared to other retailers. The store opening in La Pine features family activities from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. The store is open until 9 p.m., according to the release.
