Jon Wayne and the Pain

Jon Wayne and the Pain’s hometown of Minneapolis isn’t exactly known as a reggae hot spot. Then again, Jon Wayne and the Pain isn’t exactly your typical reggae band, even by modern genre standards. Since 2007 the group has worked on the margins of reggae, jam-band rock and electronica, appealing to fans across the country who dig a little dubstep in their dub. That includes music fans in Bend, where the band has been a regular visitor for a number of years. The hard-partying quartet returns for a show at the Capitol on Sunday armed with a new album, “Your Vibe Attracts Your Tribe” (there’s a good mission statement for these guys). CDs will be available at the show, but the digital release has been delayed due to new distribution — a prelude to bigger things to come? Stay tuned.

Jon Wayne and the Pain: 9 p.m. Sunday, doors open at 8 p.m.; $10 plus fees in advance, $15 at the door; The Capitol, 190 NW Oregon Ave., Bend; thecapitolbend.com or 541-678-5740
