Deschutes National Forest office hours to change
Published 5:51 am Friday, April 7, 2017
Starting Monday, the Deschutes National Forest’s Bend office will be changing its weekly hours to comply with the rest of the district.
Beginning Monday, Deschutes National Forest Service’s Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District and the forest supervisor’s office, which are located at 63095 Deschutes Market Rd. in Bend, will open at 8 a.m. and close at 4:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday, the same hours as other district offices in the Deschutes National Forest.
Jean Nelson-Dean, public affairs officer for the Deschutes National Forest, said the office had previously opened at 7:45 a.m. and closed at 4:25 p.m., which she said made scheduling a challenge at times.
Additionally, the Cascade Lakes Welcome Station, at 18390 Century Dr. in Bend, is now open on weekends from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Beginning on May 30, it will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
