Bend median home price dips in April

The median price for a single-family home in Bend dropped slightly last month from March, as the number of sales increased 29 percent, according to a report released Monday.

The median price in Bend was $394,000 in April, down from $396,000 in March, according to The Beacon Report, produced by Beacon Appraisal Group. The median price equals the midpoint, with half the prices above it and half below.

The number of homes sold rose last month to 220 from 170 in March, according to the report. The median number of days on the market was 63, down from 106 in March.

Year over year, the median price in Bend increased nearly 8 percent. The median price a year ago was $365,000.

In Redmond, the median price ticked up from $284,000 in March to $285,000. The median number of days on the market was 94, down from 126 in March. A year ago, the median price in Redmond was $247,000.
