“SNATCHED”

Raing: R for crude sexual content, brief nudity, and language throughout.

What it’s about: A mother-daughter vacation to Ecuador goes wrong when the women are kidnapped.

The kid attractor factor: Star Amy Schumer and the low-brow comedy genre will draw teen audiences.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Learn to rely on yourself for your own empowerment, men are mostly useless, never take a mother’s love and dedication for granted.

Violence: Scuffles with kidnappers, a couple of murders via shovel and spear gun, gun wielding, fist fighting, etc.

Language: Strong language and swearing throughout

Sexuality: Brief graphic nudity, references to sex, crude sexual jokes.

Drugs: References to marijuana and hallucinogens.

Parents advisory: Fine for teens but inappropriate for children.

“KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD”

Rating: PG-13 for sequences of violence and action, some suggestive content and brief strong language.

What it’s about: An action-packed retelling of the King Arthur story through Guy Ritchie’s unique perspective.

The kid attractor factor: The action/fantasy genre, star Charlie Hunnam, and special effects will be a draw for teen audiences.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Always fight for your friends, power can be corrupting, do good, not evil.

Violence: Lots of sword-fighting, fisticuffs, arrow shooting, stabbing, punching, boxing. A giant snake attack, a bat attack, a battle against a mythical dark magic creature. Violence against women throughout.

Language: One instance of strong swearing.

Sexuality: Arthur is raised in a brothel, where he protects the women from violent customers.

Drugs: Arthur uses some mysterious natural hallucinogen.

Parents advisory: For a PG-13 movie, this one is very violent. Be aware when bringing kids that it may be too scary. Fine for teens.
