• Ryan Culp is the new Sunriver and La Pine area economic development director for Economic Development for Central Oregon. He most recently worked as a senior project manager for the Mississippi Development Authority. He has a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University in business administration.
• Matt Cromwell earned the 2017 Big Chainring Award from the Deschutes County Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. The award recognize individuals, businesses and public agencies that make significant contributions in support of better bicycling and walking. He is the track operator at the High Desert BMX track at the Big Sky Park in Bend.
• Tim Conlon is a new SCORE-certified mentor with Central Oregon Score. He has been the founder and principle at Conlon Consulting Group and has prior experience in human resources program development in labor relations, employee stock ownership plan administration, staffing, policies and compensation and benefit programs.
• Capt. Larry Seymour, of the Prineville Police Department, completed a 10-week training session at the FBI National Academy. He has served Prineville for 13 years.
• Katlin Friedman, Usui Tibetan reiki master at Bend Reiki Clinic, now offers sessions at Blissful Heart, providing sound therapy with her reiki treatments.
• Mary Nash, a holy fire reiki master, now offers treatments at Blissful Heart. She brings 15 years of energy work experience to her new location.
• Karen Druery received the Ada Edwards Laughlin Award from the Assistance League of Bend. This national award is given to a behind-the-scenes, hardworking woman who provides support to the organization.
• Connie Dean received the President’s Award from the Assistance League of Bend. The award recognizes her contributions to the chapter since 2002.
