BASKETBALL

Fultz out for summer — No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz will miss the rest of the NBA summer league because of a sprained left ankle. The Philadelphia 76ers say Fultz is expected to return to basketball activities in one to two weeks. Fultz appeared to roll his ankle in Saturday night’s game and was helped to the locker room by two teammates. He had just signed his contract earlier in the day and was taken for X-rays. The former Washington Huskies star had eight points in 15 minutes.

OLYMPICS

Racewalking champ suspended — The reigning Olympic and world champion in the men’s 50-kilometer racewalk, Matej Toth, has been suspended over an alleged breach of anti-doping rules. The IAAF’s Athletics Integrity Unit says the Slovakian was provisionally suspended due to irregularities in his biological passport, which tracks blood data over time for signs of drug use. Toth remains suspended until a final verdict is reached on his case, and he faces a potential four-year ban.
