• Prestige Senior Living High Desert has received the 2017 Bronze Commitment to Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living. The bronze distinction is awarded to communities that have demonstrated a commitment to improving the quality of care for seniors and persons with disabilities.

• The Bridal Suite & Special Occasion has moved to 3188 N. U.S. Highway 97, Suite 101, Bend. It was also named Best Dress Shop and Best Formal Wear outside of Portland in Oregon Bride Magazine’s “Best of 2017” issue. It was also awarded Best Dress Designer outside of Portland through its partnership with Alterations and Designs by Alin.

• Bend Personal Trainers has a new partnership with Snap Fitness Reed Market, where BPT will provide personal training programs, coordinate classes and give ongoing support for health and fitness programs at Snap Fitness Reed Market.

• The Family Access Network received $15,000 in grant funds from The Oregon Community Foundation, which will be used to increase funding streams that support eight Redmond FAN advocates at 13 public school sites.

• The Latino Community Association received a $25,000 grant from the Northwest Area Foundation to provide general support in strengthening and expanding LCA services in Central Oregon.

• JD Neel Construction won eight awards in the Central Oregon Builders Association Tour of Homes. The winning home in the $625,000-$650,000 price category is in Redmond, earning the Green Building Award, Best of Show, Best Architectural Design, Best Kitchen, Best Master Suite, Best Value and Best Feature for its Accessory Dwelling Unit design.

• Mackeson Advisory, an investment strategy and financial planning firm, is now located at 777 SW Mill View Way, Bend.

• Family Resource Center of Central Oregon was awarded a continuation grant of $50,000 from Oregon Community Foundation through the Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative. The funds will be used to strengthen and support family relationships in Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties.

• Redmond Burger Co., 249 NW Sixth St., Redmond, filed an application July 17 with the Oregon Liquor Control Commission as a new outlet for a limited on-premises sales license, which allows the sale of malt beverages, wine and cider for consumption on the licensed premises and the sale of kegs of malt beverages for off premises consumption.

• Spider City Brewing Co., 1177 SE Ninth St., Suites 103-104, Bend, filed an application July 18 with the OLCC as a new outlet for a brewery-public house license, which allows the manufacture and sale of malt beverages to wholesalers, and the sale of malt beverages, wine and cider for consumption on or off the premises.

• 10 Barrel Brewing Co., 62950 and 62970 NE 18th St., Bend, filed an application July 17 with the OLCC for an additional privilege, a distillery license, which allows the holder to import, manufacture, distill, rectify, blend, denature and store distilled spirits.
