The competition on Saturday and Sunday begins at 9:15 a.m. for ages 12 and under, and at 3 p.m. for ages 13 and over. Some 360 swimmers are expected. For more registration or to register, go to www.haulinaspen.com.
Sunday
NFL football, Seattle at Los Angeles Chargers, 5 p.m. (NFL Network): The Chargers, newly transplanted from San Diego, make their home debut at 27,000-seat StubHub Center in Carson, California, against the Seahawks in the 2017 preseason opener for both teams. The Seahawks are a popular pick to reach the Super Bowl, but don’t look for many of the players who would get them there to see a lot of playing time in this contest.
