Deaths of note from around the world:

Stuart Thompson, 62: Tony Award-winning producer and manager of Broadway shows who brought a low-key style to an industry known for its razzmatazz, and helped mount such hits as “The Book of Mormon.” Died Thursday in New York of esophageal cancer complications.

Janusz Glowacki, 78: Renowned Polish-U.S. playwright and screenwriter who won top prizes for his bitter, ironic analysis of the difficult lives of immigrants. Died Saturday.
