AJGA tournament tees off in Sunriver — The American Junior Golf Association, considered the premier junior golf association in the country, is staging the Sunriver Junior Open at the resort’s Meadows course. The 54-hole stroke play tournament, featuring a field of 132 boys and girls players ages 12-19, tees off Monday with practice rounds and concludes Thursday. Players representing 20 states and two foreign countries will hit the links in search of the championship, including several Central Oregon golfers. Scheduled to compete in the boys division are Redmond’s Isaac Buerger and Bend’s William Fleck, while Sophie Dalfonsi and Olivia Loberg, both of Bend, are expected to participate in the girls division.
