PRINEVILLE — Two Central Oregon contestants were among the average champions at the 2017 Northwest Professional Rodeo Association Finals, held Friday and Saturday at the Crook County Fairgrounds.

Bailey Beall, of Redmond, took top honors in the breakaway roping event. And in steer wrestling, Prineville’s Sean Santucci was the average champ.

Several other Central Oregon entries were among the winners in the first and second rounds, including Stevie Rae Willis, of Terrebonne, in breakaway roping; Sam Willis, of Terrebonne, in cow milking; Shane Erickson, of Terrebonne, in tie-down roping; and Charlie Barker, of Culver, in saddle bronc riding.
