Bend home sales slowed in September

The median sale price of a single-family home in the Bend area was $418,000 in September, according to the Beacon Report from Beacon Appraisal Group of Redmond.
That was up almost 1 percent from $414,000 in August and up 8.5 percent from $385,000 in September 2016.
The total number of sales was 206, compared with 229 a year ago.
Homes spent an average 80 days on the market, compared with 86 days a year ago.
The Redmond area median dropped from $294,000 in August to $287,000 last month. The September median is still 10 percent above $260,000 in September 2016.
Redmond closed 83 transactions in September, compared with 95 a year ago. Homes spent an average 92 days on the market versus 88 days a year ago.
