Business people on the move

Sam DeLay,of Hasson Company Realtors, was selected by Cascade Business News as one of their 2017 Accomplished Under 40 award winners. The Central Oregon business publication honored 21 business leaders under the age of 40 from various industries in the region.

• Dr. Sanaz Askari has joined the board of directors of St. Charles Health System. She has served on the finance, strategy, quality and safety committees at St. Charles. A member of the American College of Physicians and the Oregon Medical Association, Askari is an active medical staff member at St. Charles’ hospitals in Bend and Prineville.

• Dr. Gary Frei has received St. Charles Foundation’s North Star Award, which recognizes an actively practicing physician in the region whose work has been defined by compassion and devotion to patient care, professionalism and a commitment to improving patients’ lives. A $5,000 scholarship will also be awarded in his name to a high school senior who is pursuing education for a career in health care.

• Amanda Rose has joined Tetherow Resort as its new director of food and beverage. Rose brings more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to Tetherow, working many of those years at luxury golf clubs and high-end restaurants in Los Angeles and Hawaii.

• John Hartz has joined The Partners Group as an employee benefits consultant after 17 years of sales and leadership experience with a Fortune 500 insurance carrier. Most recently he focused on large employers specializing in benefit plan design, self-funding, voluntary benefits, benefit communications, enrollment, technology and executive benefits including life and income-protection planning.

• Amanda Chelemedos has joined The Partners Group as a commercial lines account manager after 13 years of experience in commercial insurance. Most recently she focused on managing commercial accounts for small businesses and real estate.

• Dave Russell, Bend Fire Department battalion chief, has been sworn in as a new member of the Oregon Fire Chiefs Association board of directors. Bend Fire now holds two seats on the board, as Russell joins Deputy Chief Bill Boos.
