SOCCER
Berteau, Nadermann share IMC boys POY honor — Bend High’s Calvan Berteau and Ridgeview’s Alex Nadermann have been voted the Intermountain Conference boys soccer players of the year. In a vote of the league’s coaches, Berteau was one of four Lava Bears named to the all-conference first team after helping Bend win the IMC championship. Joining Berteau are E.G. Pierce, Jesse Selman and Parker Hollenbeck. The Bears’ Nils Eriksson was voted the coach of the year. Summit (Max Asevedo, Scott Bundy, Ivan Kufeldt and Simon Kidder) and Ridgeview (Nadermann, Nick Nelson, Isaac Grusy and Christian Kim) each landed four players on the first team. Also on the first team are Mountain View’s Kevin Pfeil and Redmond’s Owen Byrnes.

Jeter named IMC girls POY — Ridgeview’s Aspen Jeter has been selected the Intermountain Conference girls soccer player of the year after leading the Ravens to second place in the IMC and their first trip to the state playoffs. IMC champion Summit boasts five first-team players in Capra Williams, Michaela Gorman, Maggi McElrath, Gabbie Brocker and Shea Campbell. Jeter was among four Ridgeview players named to the first team, joining Jordyn Buresh, Sierra Cassaro and Madison Stadler. Bend’s Cassidy Flammang, Kylee Roath and Makenzie Jerome were selected to the first team, as was Mountain View’s Rosalie Mendez. Redmond’s Martha Segura was voted the IMC coach of the year.
Outlaws’ Weber wins COSOA award — Sisters High senior Rylee Weber, a captain for the Outlaws girls soccer team this season, is the recipient of the 2017 Central Oregon Soccer Officials Association Gregory Scott Rivers Memorial Sportsmanship Award. Each year the COSOA awards a $500 scholarship to a Central Oregon senior high school soccer player who exemplifies outstanding sportsmanship and leadership during the season. Other nominees for the award included Bend High’s Kylee Roath and Ridgeview’s Sierra Cassaro.
VOLLEYBALL
Sisters’ Harrer signs with UCLA — Sisters senior Hawley Harrer, who led the Outlaws to the Class 4A volleyball state championship this season, has signed a national letter of intent to play at UCLA beginning next year. Harrer was a first-team all-state selection in 2015 and 2016 and was voted the 4A player of the year last season.
Former Cougar makes all-NWC — Karlee Duncan, a 2016 Mountain View High graduate, has been named to the all-Northwest Conference volleyball second team. A sophomore outside hitter for NCAA Division III Pacific University in Forest Grove, Duncan paced the Boxers this season with 300 kills, and her average of 3.61 kills per set ranks sixth in program history. Duncan was also third on the team with 215 digs.

Pair sign with college programs — Two Oregon Olympic Athletics gymnasts have signed national letters of intent to compete for college programs. Bend High’s Kyla Roberts will join NCAA Division I Quinnipiac acrobatics and tumbling team in Hamden, Connecticut. Camri Reinhart, a senior at Mountain View, has signed with the NCAA Division II Azusa (California) Pacific acrobatics and tumbling team.
