Ducks, Beavers release ’18 skeds

Published 10:55 pm Thursday, November 16, 2017

Oregon opens with four home games. Oregon State kicks off at Ohio State. And the Ducks and Beavers will meet in a rare Friday Civil War.

Those are some of the highlights of the 2018 football schedule released Thursday by the Pac-12.

Oregon’s opener next season will be Sept. 1 at home against Bowling Green. The Ducks will also be at home the following two weeks for games against Portland State (Sept. 8) and San Jose State (Sept. 15) before starting conference play Sept. 22 against Stanford, also at Autzen Stadium.

Oregon State plays two of its three nonconference games on the road, opening with a Sept. 1 date at Ohio State. The Beavers will be at home Sept. 8 to face Southern Utah and travel again for a Sept. 15 game at Nevada. Oregon State’s Pac-12 opener will be Sept. 22 in Corvallis against Arizona.

The 2018 Civil War game, the regular-season finale for both the Ducks and the Beavers, is set for Nov. 23 at OSU’s Reser Stadium — the first playing of the in-state rivalry game on a Friday in Corvallis since 2006.

Again next season in the Pac-12’s two-year rotation cycle, the Beavers will miss Utah and UCLA on the conference schedule, and the Ducks will miss Southern California and Colorado.
