- The basic Oregon license plate. The pandemic grace period for renewing driver's licenses and vehicle registrations expires Dec. 31.
The Oregon Department of Transportation’s Redmond DMV office will be closed for three days beginning Oct. 25 while the office moves to a permanent location.
The office will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday evening, and reopen Oct. 30 at Franks Landing, the new site located at 3835 SW 21st Place.
The current Redmond office was only temporary after it was relocated in July from the previous location on SW Odem Medo Road.
Office hours will remain the same — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; the office will open at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays.
The Bend office is the closest DMV site to Redmond and will be open. Wait time or availability can be accessed at OregonDMV.com.
