Judy Collins returns to Bend

Folk singer-songwriter Judy Collins will return to the Tower Theatre on Tuesday for another intimate solo performance packed with classics such as “Send in the Clowns” and Leonard Cohen’s “Suzanne.” But these days, Collins mostly gets by with a little help from her friends. After five-plus decades of performing, she released her first duets album and first album in four years, 2015’s “Strangers Again.” That opened the floodgates for the next year’s Grammy-nominated collaboration album with New York songwriter Ari Hest, “Silver Skies Blue,” and last year’s long-awaited team-up with Stephen Stills (who famously wrote “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes” about their romantic relationship in the late ’60s) for a tour and album, “Everybody Knows.” Stills and Collins will continue their partnership with more tour dates in spring and summer to be announced.

Judy Collins: 7 p.m. Tuesday; $51.50, $57.50, $68.50, $74.50 or $80 plus theater preservation fee; Tower Theatre, 835 NW Wall St., Bend; towertheatre.org or 541-317-0700.
