• Camp Victory, an integrated fitness studio started by combat veteran Ryan Bilbrey at 61511 American Lane, Suite 5, Bend, is hosting its grand opening 2-4 p.m. Saturday. The community is invited to enjoy fitness demonstrations such as yoga, strength training and meditation.

• Cascade School of Music has been awarded a $7,000 grant from the Oregon Arts Commission’s Arts Build Communities grant program for fiscal year 2018 to support Music Matters outreach performances to partner programs in Central Oregon — the Latino Community Association, REACH in Redmond, MountainStar Family Relief Nursery and Boys and Girls Club of Bend. The project will expose children to music and playing an instrument and invite them to take lessons regardless of their ability to pay.

• Deschutes Public Library Foundation has been awarded $5,000 from the Oregon Arts Commission’s Arts Build Communities grant program for fiscal year 2018 to support A Novel Idea, its community read program designed to encourage residents to read and discuss selected books together. Grant funds will be used to purchase books and assist in paying the author’s honorarium.

• Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty announces a new partnership with Academy Mortgage to provide lending services to brokerage clientele. Academy Mortgage is Oregon’s fastest growing mortgage company, according to 2017 CoreLogic Data.

• Picky Bars — the Bend-based energy bar company founded by professional athletes — has introduced Picky Oats Performance Oatmeal, an instant oatmeal product made with organic whole food ingredients and less added sugar than conventional oatmeal.

• The Great Drake Park Duck Race, organized by the four Bend Rotary clubs and sponsored by five community credit unions including MidOregon, Selco, OnPoint, Oregonians and First Community, has provided $89,485 to six charities chosen by the Rotary clubs — Bethlehem Inn, The Center Foundation, MountainStar Family Relief Nursery, DAWN’s House, Grandma’s House and Community Shower Truck.

• El Caporal, 6204 NE 27th St., Bend filed an application Jan. 25, with the Oregon Liquor Control Commission as a new outlet for a commercial establishment, full on-premises sales license, which allows the sale and service of distilled spirits, malt beverages, wine and cider for consumption on the licensed premises.
