REDMOND — The Ridgeview girls just barely edged Redmond at Cascade Swim Center on Thursday, but the Panthers boys dominated the Ravens, helping Redmond take the R-Town Rivalry Dual Meet win by a combined score of 170-123.

Redmond’s Augie Tobish won the 50-meter freestyle in 27.74 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 1:13.89, and Panthers teammate Alex Smith finished first in both the 100 freestyle (in 59.81) and the 100 breaststroke (in 1:20.73). Tobish and Smith both also swam in the winning 200 medley and the 200 freestyle relays. Logan Noble won two individual events, the 200 freestyle (2:30.38) and the 100 butterfly (1:09.27), and also swam a leg in the 200 medley relay.

On the girls side, the top performers of the night were Ridgeview’s Aria Mascall and Jaime Tracewell, as Mascall won the 50 free in 32.33 and the 100 back in 1:26.05, while Tracewell took the 200 individual medley in 3:08.03 and the 100 fly in 1:26.32. Tristy Osbon won the 200 free for Ridgeview and, along with Tracewell, Mascall and Jillian Ferraro, swam a leg in the Ravens’ first-place 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.

Although the Ridgeview girls posted more points than Redmond, 74-73, the Panthers had two individual winners in Whitney Gieschen, who won the 100 free, and Caitlyn Owen, who was first in the 100 breaststroke.

Ben Hucke recorded the Ridgeview boys’ lone individual win, in the 200 individual medley. Hucke, along with Andy Cook, Hudson Harbolt and Chance Jones, won the 400 free relay, the final race of the afternoon.
