• Jeff Hall, trial court administrator for the Deschutes County Circuit Court, is the recipient of the National Center for State Courts’ 2017 Distinguished Service Award. The award is presented annually to individuals who have made significant contributions to the justice system. Only one trial-level court administrator receives this national award each year. Hall was appointed trial court administrator for the Deschutes County Circuit Court in July 2012. He leads the court’s nonjudicial staff and is responsible for court records, case-related financial records, jurors and budget.
• Andy Chapman joins Riff Cold Brewed Coffee as director of sales to head expansion in the Pacific Northwest market. He brings 13-years’ experience introducing premium beverage brands to popular grocery chains, bars, restaurants and public venues in Oregon. Prior to joining Riff, Chapman held several sales management positions at Columbia Distributing and Young’s Market.
• Mandy Muller, of Bend, has joined BrightSide Animal Center as dog trainer with six years of experience in dog training and animal-care management. She has a bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of New Hampshire and is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals.
• Kari Stuber, of Terrebonne, has been promoted to thrift store manager at BrightSide Animal Center. Before working for BrightSide, she owned a second-hand store and managed an antique store.
• Erica Psaltis, of Powell Butte, has joined BrightSide Animal Center as coordinator of volunteers and events. She previously served as program director at Mt. Bachelor Memory Care for four years. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington State University and a master’s degree from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.
• Megan Fries, of Bend, has joined the BrightSide Animal Center board of directors and has been named its treasurer. She is owner of Frenzy to Freedom, a business consulting firm specializing in financial and operational systematization.
• Christopher Pearson, of Bend, has joined has joined the BrightSide Animal Center board of directors. Pearson is an attorney for the U.S. Postal Service. His prior animal-welfare experience includes volunteering at Happy Tails in Atlanta and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in southern Utah.
