Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty announced Friday it acquired Metolius Property Sales of Sisters.

The acquisition means Cascade Sotheby’s will gain 12 brokers and 20 percent of the Sisters market by closed sales, according to a press statement.

Metolius Property Sales was founded by Jeff Jones in 2009. Jones said he’ll stay with Cascade Sotheby’s as a broker, but he’ll be stepping back from day-to-day operations. He said it seemed like the right time to sell the firm. “I’m at the back end of my career here,” he said.

Cascade Sotheby’s already has an office in Sisters, which will close in order to merge with the larger Metolius Property office at 290 E. Cascade Ave., Jones said. Metolius Property will be rebranded.

Cascade Sotheby’s, headquartered in Bend, has 11 offices in Oregon and Southwest Washington and more than 250 brokers. The firm closed more than $1.3 billion sales in 2017.
