New pro at BGCC — John Thorsnes has been appointed new head golf professional at Bend Golf and Country Club. Previously, Thorsnes was the general manager for 10 years at Wine Valley Golf Club in Walla Walla, Washington. He was a co-founder of the club, working alongside course designer Dan Hixson, who has done recent renovations at Bend Golf and Country Club. In his career, Thorsnes has been a golf pro at several clubs around the Northwest, including at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club just outside of Hillsboro and at Sahalee Country Club in Sammammish, Washington.
