Wayne Eugene Pearson, 72 – Madras, Oregon.
Wayne Eugene Pearson entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior after a long illness on January 27, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife, Terry, son David and wife Brooke Pearson, daughter Shelly and husband Todd Braden, daughter Holly Pearson and grandchildren; Lauren, Alexis, Olivia, Levi, and Jordan Pearson; sisters Dolores Siegfort, Marilyn and husband Bill Glenn.
Wayne was born in Chicago, IL and graduated with a Business Degree from Northern Illinois University. Out of college, Wayne went to work for the Christian Service Brigade and Gospel Light Publishers. He then went on to enjoy a very rewarding career as a vice-president of sales/marketing in the printing industry.
Wayne had many interests and developed great passion for each. He was well known for his hard work, strong ethical convictions and creative solutions for any problem. His loyalty to clients, friends and family resulted in lasting years of friendship. As Economic Development Director for Jefferson County, Wayne helped to create a more expansive and aligned business environment. Wayne served on the Madras Gospel Mission Board and championed the development of a womens shelter.
Wayne married Terry in 1966 and they just celebrated their 52nd anniversary. They raised their family in California and Oregon and later settled in Madras. Over the years his family often enjoyed skiing, camping, boating, fishing and horseback riding together. Wayne became an accomplished woodworker and shared his talent by teaching others. Together, Wayne and Terry established Cascade Lavender Farm and enjoyed sharing their love of lavender and the farm to the many who visited. Waynes firm faith in God and belief in prayer sustained him throughout his life.
Services for Wayne Pearson will be held at 2:00 P.M. on February 10, 2018 at Cornerstone Baptist Church 675 NE 10th St, Madras, OR 97741. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Madras Gospel Mission/ Women’s Shelter at www.madrasgospelmission.org.
