Bend median home price picks up

The median sale price of single-family homes in the Bend area was $410,000 in January, according to the Beacon Report by Beacon Appraisal Group.
The Bend median rose from $395,000 in December and was up 10.5 percent from $371,000 in January 2017.
More homes were sold in January after spending less time on the market than a year ago. A total of 142 homes were sold, compared with 130 a year ago. Homes in Bend spent an average 110 days on the market, compared with 132 days last year.
In Redmond, the median sales price declined from $287,000 in December to $279,000. The January median was still up 8 percent from $258,000 in the prior year. Redmond saw 47 completed sales, and homes spent an average 84 days on the market, compared with 115 days last year.
