Jazz at the Oxford goes R&B this weekend. The series returns after a few months away with Portland vocalists/songwriters Paul Creighton (pictured) and Jarrod Lawson, who will pay tribute to former child prodigy and soul hit-maker Stevie Wonder for three sold-out shows Friday and Saturday. If you snagged seats, expect all the hits from “Superstitious” to “Songs in the Key of Life,” delivered with modern flair and energy. If you missed out, you can still head to the Minnesota Ballroom at The Oxford Hotel at 11:15 a.m. Saturday for the free music education workshop led by the musicians.
A tribute to Stevie Wonder featuring Paul Creighton and Jarrod Lawson: 7 p.m. Friday, 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday; sold out; Jazz at the Oxford, The Oxford Hotel, 10 NW Minnesota Ave., Bend; jazzattheoxford.com or 541-382-8436.
