Where to GO! for a food truck with global cuisine

Published 12:00 am Thursday, February 8, 2018

Thai on the Fly’s flavorful, authentic Thai dishes earned it the No. 1 place for readers to go for a food truck with global cuisine.

(A note to readers: The food cart is currently closed for the winter but will reopen in spring.)

Pimonpan Bentz, owner of Thai on the Fly, was raised in Bangkok, Thailand, where three generations of her family worked in the food business, according to the food cart website. The dishes at the food cart are unique to Thai on the Fly because each one is a Bentz family recipe.

The menu consists of three classic noodle dishes — pad thai, pad see ew and drunken noodles — and there are specials that rotate each day, such as the green curry with bamboo and basil or the cashew chicken. During First Friday Gallery Walks in the summer months, she opens the cart for art gawkers to stop by for a Thai isaan sausage skewer.
