There’s no shortage of competition for brunch spots in Central Oregon with Jackson’s Corner, Chow, The Victorian Cafe, McKay Cottage Restaurant and Café Sintra battling it out to be the top pick. At the end of the day, the win went to McKay Cottage.
The restaurant has offerings for everybody, whether you’re looking to enjoy a relaxing morning meal with family or to fuel up before hitting the slopes. Popular brunch items such as the Baja chicken hash stack, the stuffed French toast and the classic Benedict keep diners coming back for more.
The atmosphere and history of McKay Cottage shouldn’t be overlooked either. Originally located in Drake Park, the house was built by pioneers Clive and Olive McKay.
“It’s a 100-year old craftsman bungalow that’s been made into this great, cozy restaurant,” said Pamela Morgan, owner of McKay cottage.
