When he learned that Pine Nursery Disc Golf Course took first in Where to GO! for disc golf, longtime Central Oregon Disc Golf Club member and former club president Carey Dod wasn’t surprised.

“Pine Nursery is going to win every time, because it’s close,” he said. “It’s 18 holes now, there are concrete tees on every hole. There’s only one tee per hole, and then there’s two basket positions per hole. … For an average player, or a recreational player, it’s perfect.”

Second place went to Dry Canyon Disc Golf Course in Redmond. Though it’s a flat course with no elevation, “It’s got benches on every hole; every hole has concrete tees,” Dod said.

Honorable mention went to Hyzer Pines in Sisters, which has a forest setting near Sisters High School with 18 holes and several alternate tees, Dod said.
