DJs and dancing go together like Bend and … well, dancing (it’s not called electronic dance music for nothing). Downtown restaurant/bar/nightclub The Capitol is our readers’ choice for Where to GO! for a night of both.

Since opening in late 2015, The Capitol has helped strengthen Central Oregon’s already formidable show offerings, dabbling in a little bit of everything from punk (Bend PyratePunx’s free, local-oriented shows) to reggae (DJ Colonel’s Simmer Down Sound concerts). But it has found its real niche in the underground electronic music scene, with bookings that have struck a balance between fresh local talent (WelterWeight, N8ture) and hot touring acts (Zeke Beats). And the venue’s dance floor, separated from the main bar/restaurant, provides plenty of space to get freaky.
